Why the hell not?

Guess what I'm thinking about?

Here's my thinking. I'm paying $4+/gallon of gas to get to and from the gym each day. Since it's 20 miles each way, I'm spending some serious cash at the moment to train. Shouldn't I use this training for the most extreme distance I can? I already do two to three swims per week of 1.25 miles in length each (and complete them in less than an hour each). I've run four half marathons. I just recently proved to myself that I can bike for 50 miles without too much problem. Therefore, I really just need to put them altogether. Guess what I'm thinking of signing up for later this summer?

I want it on record, that I pointed out the OLYMPIC distance for that race, already on thin ice from the bike "detour" I cant be held responsible for this one, though I think my email break down did get the wheels turning alot

You can do it, I have faith in you.

Let me see... "I just recently proved to myself that I can bike for 50 miles without too much problem" + $4/gallon + 40 miles RT to/from gym = BIKE TO GYM in my way of reckoning math :)
