Need something to do? PLAY MORE in Durham!

Durham Parks and Rec has started a summer concert series for the newly developed CCB plaza in downtown. I found this out today at lunch while walking to the post office. There was a great blues band playing right in the square! It looks like today is the last weekday performance, but there are plenty of evening performances planned for all musical tastes. I copied and pasted the schedule here for your review. If you want to see more, check out the series' website HERE.

Good Music is Happening in Durham
DPR Music Series at the CCB Plaza

With the completion of the downtown streetscape, DPR is introducing a new venue for special events in 2008. The CCB Plaza is a centrally located facility, making it an ideal location for after work and weekend events. Regular programming at this facility will invite audiences to stay in town after work and begin their weekends in downtown Durham. These new events will target adult audiences seeking early evening entertainment after work or to kick off weekend evenings.

CCB Plaza is located at the corner of Corcoran and Parrish Streets in downtown Durham – home of MAJOR, the big bronze bull.

Darren & Steve are actually in the Midnight Gladness Band, too. The band is making a very rare appearance.
