Day 1, Week 1

Hey, all - Sorry I have been MIA here lately. Work has been busy, and life has been busy. I just haven't blogged.

I am here today though, as today is Day 1, Week 1 of half-marathon/Olympic length triathlon training schedule. Today is a 24 minute swim. No more, no less. 24 minutes. I combined a 12 week plan from beginnertriathlete.com with the Hal Higdon Intermediate Half training program. The 12 weeks will take me through to the April 17 Kansas half. For the weeks after that, I will just maintain a reasonable # of miles through the week and do a 7-8 miler the Saturday after the Kansas race. That way I should be good to go for PR at Indy. That's the plan anyway.

Twelve weeks of fun starts TODAY.
