Why is Blogger hatin on me?

I have no idea why, but I think my Mozilla Firefox browser and blogger.com got in a serious fight and are no longer speaking. I can't get blogger to load for more than a second, and I haven't been able to figure out what the deal is. Ugh. So I am now using IE to do my blog posts. I haven't used IE in YEARS. It makes all these annoying clicking sounds...anyway.

Training is going well. I did my 7 mile long run this past weekend (technically I did it on Monday). That is the longest I have ever run by myself. While training for last year's half, I had my two running buddies, so all the long runs were done with company. While the run didn't take a serious toll on me, it was still tough to do 7 miles on one's lonesome. But this weekend means 8 miles, so I best get used to it.

I found a 10K race a couple of weeks before the half, so I signed up to do that one. This will be the first time I have ever done a 10K race. I've done plenty of 5Ks and even a 4 miler, but no 10Ks. This will be quite the experience. It's called the "Hoover Hustle" and it looks like some beautiful scenery. We'll see how that goes.

Since today marks one month until race day, Lauren booked her plane ticket for her visit. Yay! I am so glad she is coming up to run this with me. While I know she is more than capable of running this race much faster than I am, her support and just being there will be great for me. yay!

The new job starts on Monday of next week. I already have those scary first day of school jitters. What if they don't like me? Do I remember how to "work"? It has been the longest off period I have ever had from workinging since I was 15. I have always held a job and had responsibility. Do I remember how to do it? I hope so! eek!

That's it for now. I'll be back soon. In the meantime, I think I am actually going to do my optional 3 mile run this morning. The spring is on us, and it is too gorgeous to pass up. Happy April 1, everyone!

Have you tired Google's Chrome web browser? I've been using it since Christmas and it's much more appealing to me than Microsoft.
