TRI CLINIC

This is what I am doing tomorrow:

Roll Bike Store of Polaris will host the 3rd Giant Eagle Multisport Festival Clinic onSaturday, July 16th from 9:00am to 12:00pm. The clinic will be hosted by Olympian Victor Plata and Daniel Smith. Plata competed at the second Olympic triathlon at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He placed twenty-seventh with a total time of 1:57:09.09. Plata was the alternate for the U.S. Olympic Team in 2000. In 2005 Plata was ranked as high as 4th in the ITU World Rankings for triathlon. Daniel Smith is a top Ohio triathlon coach and has recently served as the swim coach for the Warrior Games in Colorado Springs.

This clinic will feature a bike ride from Roll Polaris to Alum Creek State Park, followed by a swim and transition clinic at the site of the Giant Eagle Triathlon transition #1.

Here is the clinic timeline:

9:00-9:30am Meet and Greet with Victor Plata and Daniel Smith at Roll of Polaris (outside Roll)
9:30am Bike Ride from Roll Polaris to Alum Creek State Park
9:45am Swim Session including talk/demonstration, short swim and evaluation
10:15am Snack
10:30am Victor Plata presentation on Triathlon
11:15am Point to Point transition tips and Q & A
11:40am Light Run at Alum Creek State Park
11:55am Wrap-up and Bike ride back to Roll of Polaris

What to bring:
-Swim wear
-Bike and helmet
-Running shoes
-Light snack
-Water or Fluid Replacement
*HFP will transport your gear back and forth between Roll and Alum Creek State Park. Please consolidate items to 1 bag.

15 mins to ride from the store to the beach, thats the time it can take by car!!!! I am wondering the route they are going to take, unless its some back way through the old ampithreatre, we will be riding on Polaris
