A sad day

Got some sad news yesterday. My Uncle Dean passed away after a long fight with several ailments. He'd battled through and won many health fights in his life, but this latest round was just too much. I didn't get to spend a ton of time with Uncle Dean in my life - my family and I lived in Texas while my Mom's side of the family was in Indiana. We saw my Uncle and his family once every few years, and he was always so very nice when we visited. He loved old cars, and his garage always had a beauty in it. He was a master at taking the old and giving it new life.
I'll be heading off to Indiana tomorrow to spend time with my Mom and her side of the family. I'm taking the bike with me and plan to try and get out when I can. A ride or run is always good to clear the mind when other things are at play.

Therefore, I'm signing off for a few days, but to everyone racing - enjoy your weekends and kick some butt. I look forward to race reports next week!!!!

I'm sorry that you lost your uncle. I hope that your trip to Indiana goes okay, though it will be difficult. Sometimes it is best to be surrounded by family in the most difficult times.
