There is no doubt. I have the bug. Not the cold bug. Or the flu bug. Not even an animal related virus related to swine or birds. I have the travel bug. Big time.
I haven't used my passport in over a year, and the last time I used it was to cross into Canada. That barely counts as international travel. I haven't been on a plane and crossed an ocean in years. Like over 4 years. Holy crap. I need to go somewhere.
Hubs and I considered a trip for January of next year, but we decided that new furniture was more of a priority. The furniture order will go in on December 1, and there goes our vacation funds. (But hey, the furniture is kick ass, so I am happy.)
This weekend, I know of three friends who are traveling to cool places. Hubs is actually on his way to Chicago tonight and two friends are in NYC for a weekend long birthday celebration. One of my best buddies also found out that she gets to go to South Africa, all expenses paid, next March for over a week. Grrrr. I wanna go somewhere. (yes, that was a whine)
Here's the upside: 2011 will be a year for travel. I'll be heading to Portland, OR a couple times for work, and in June we are probably heading to Germany for a friends wedding. July is a trip to Washington State for another wedding, and we'll also be off to Florida and Texas for family visits. So I should just hush up. But I wanna go somewhere nooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Awwww...I miss Florida :( (we moved back to Texas from Fl a few month back) right now if I could travel I would fly back for a visit

No, but I *do* have that very same pink rolly bag. :)
One of my coworkers is going to Hawaii, amazing prices there now. We'll be heading to Denver for spring skiing, but nothing sooner.
Let me know before you leave for Portland! I'll give a list of things to do....
